Affordable Norway Fjord Cruise with points and miles

We are heading out soon for a Norway Fjord Cruise, thanks to points and a casino deal. I get casino offers from Princess Cruises thanks to hitting the casino on my May 2024 sailing on the Enchanted Princess. I spent $400 that trip playing video blackjack. They ended up getting the $400. I went into the casino on that cruise. However, since then, I have been getting offers for interior cabins on Princess with $50 free play. From that initial cruise in 2024, I booked 4 more cruises with Princess. I already took an Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Sky in February. I also booked Alaska, Greece, and a Solar Eclipse Cruise.

CASINO CRUISE DEALS

How do free cruises work? My interior cabin room is free, but I pay the taxes and fees for the cruise. I also have to pay a $200 deposit that is refunded as onboard credit. For example, my Norway Cruise was $620. We will get $400 back once we get on the ship. We can pay to upgrade the room if we choose to do so.

FLIGHTS

The Norway Cruise leaves from Southampton, UK. We are flying from Nashville to London. To do this, we got plane tickets on points. You can read more about that here. I go into detail on how I found the tickets, etc. We used 65,000 points and $75 to fly to London from Nashville. To fly home from the UK we used 60,000 American Express membership rewards and $300 each in taxes. Flights from London to the US always have high taxes. However, this was still a great deal. We are flying round-trip to the UK for $675 for two people.

Hotels

We are flying into London the day before our cruise leaves. I used Hyatt Points to book us a free hotel room in London pre-cruise. We used 17,000 points for a free room at the Hyatt Regency London Albert Embankment. There is no out-of-pocket cost for the hotel.

Norway Fjord Cruise

We need to get to Southampton on the day of our cruise. I booked our transfer with Viator. I like using Viator since you can pay closer to the time of the trip.

We have 4 ports in Norway

Haugesand - We are going to a Viking Farm. I booked this through Viator.

Skjolden -

Olden - I booked a tour directly with Olden Adventure. A significant savings was booking directly with the company. My son and I are taking the Express Bus to hike to Brisketll Glacier.

Stavenger - We booked the See Natural Stavenger by Sea tour through Shore Excursion Group

AFTER OUR CRUISE

I arranged for us to be picked up from our cruise and driven to our hotel in London. I debated taking the train, but there are 4 of us traveling together, and convenience won out on this one. Our flight home is the following day. I booked us at the Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars and upgraded our stay using one of our club access passes. We were able to book this hotel for 17,000 Hyatt Points.

TOTALS

Our cruise was $620. Our flights are $675. Free hotel rooms. Thanks to points and miles, I am going to Europe for less than $1300 for 2.
